Go gingerly
Overdone the gardening?
Eating ginger may help to ease the pain. Research carried out at the University of Georgia shows that a daily dose of the spice may help to stave off muscle pain resulting from exercise, gardening and heavy housework by as much as a quarter. The reason? Ginger contains chemicals that work in a similar way to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and aspirin.
