Hay Fever Alert
The cold winter means many of us may be sneezing and sniffling much earlier this year. The reason? ‘ The unusual cold spell has caused birch trees to pollinate earlier so sufferers could already be experiencing symptoms or may have noticed an increase in their intensity,’ says Professor Jean Emberlain, director of The National Pollen and Aerobiology Research Unit.
Hay fever is often linked to low immunity so if you are sniffling one of the best things you can do is to give yourself a boost with a dose of Echinacea.
