MEDITERRANEAN DIET PROMOTES HEALTH IN POST-MENOPAUSAL WOMEN

More good news for the Mediterranean diet. A recent study funded by the World Cancer Research Fund[i] showed that putting foods, such as fresh fruit and veg, fish, nuts, whole grains and olive oil, may help reduce the risk of developing an aggressive form of breast cancer in post-menopausal women.

YOGHURT CAN HELP BOOST YOUR MOOD

Going through a bout of the spring blues? Have a pot of yogurt for breakfast. Recent research[ii] suggests that lactobacillus, the ‘friendly’ bacteria found in yogurt may help to ease depression – at least in animals.

SNORE NO MORE

If your partner’s snores are keeping you awake at night, this year’s Stop Snoring Week (April 24th-29th) is the perfect time to take action. Look out for anti-snoring remedies in your local health store. Most contain a mixture of essential oils that can help breathing by clearing mucus and reducing bronchial swelling and irritation.
